Impact on the bolt head and a big hammer of the other side. Maybe a little heat but obviously not to much. Bigger hammer

Spray a good penetrant such as Krill oil or PB Blaster (not WD40) where the bolt meets/goes through the cap. Keep repeating that every few hours and let it sit for a day or two if you have the time. Then try an impact and socket on the bolt head. If that does not work then use an air hammer with a flat tip bit. If you don't have an air hammer then use a BFH.

    Agree with all the above.
Careful application of heat, impact on bolt heads. Careful hammering on caps while impacting to help bust up the corrosion. KROIL is you friend along with antisieze at assembly.
Patience goes along way when dealing with froze up corroded items.
I look at these thing like a battle and with patience I usually can win.

Running an air hammer with a blunt bit up and down on the sides of the bracket where the bolt goes thru. Do this while running an impact on the bolt head. Vibration will loosen the corrosion better than heat. CP717 zip hammer is my go to for loosening frozen stuff.

In similar situations I've cut the head off the bolt and used a nut and spacer to pull the bolt thru.

Personally I think you'd be wasting your time with penetrating oil. Tried dozens of brands over the years and I've never had it do a #### thing. Only thing its good for is lubrication once something is moving. Heat and vibration are the 2 things that actually work.

Couldn't possibly agree with you more!! I laugh every time I see someone spray penetrating fluid on a bolt in a blind hole and then immediately try and break it loose. Make them feel better I guess.

ok everyone - thanks for your suggestions. I've been banging away at it for a couple of days now - sporadically. I may cut them off and replace the caps. They are kind of beat up and I am doing a restore on this truck. Problem is that they are 300 CAD for each cap!!

I've got some time so I'll keep working on it.
