Found this site while searching to upgrade the headlights on my 2007 T800.
    www.slclighting.com

Wondering if anyone has ever dealt with these guys, and if so any comments?
Also wondering if there is a low beam bulb available for this system, (comes with the #9007), that is slightly less bright.
While I want more light up front, I am also one of many that get aggravated with drivers using the "too bright" low beams.

Hope the link I posted can be opened, kinda ignorant about this.
They emailed some photos of the lightbox back, it has a plastic strap holding the cup behind the bulb- unhook the strap, remove the cup, and the bulb is easily accessible. Seems like a nice setup. SLC Lighting advised of a KW engineered voltage protection glitch that may/may not cause the high beams to turn off, (low beams are not affected), and recommend a relay to prevent the cut off.

For the money, just go with the jw speaker led headlights. I got them in both my trucks. You really can't get a better light.

Yup , I've tryed every light available. You guys will spend all kinds of money for marginal diffrences. Just spend the coin. Do it once , do it right and get the jw speaker lights. Plug @ play , last lights you'll probley ever buy. Polycarbonate lens. Led technology. Even has a small fan built into the light so ice and snow buildup is not much of an issue. These lights also have a very distinguishing cutoff beam. So no blinding oncoming traffic,as long as the adjustment is correct. Low power , so no upgrading your stock wiring or adding relays.
So many pros to these lights, compared to regular halogen or even hid.

    droy and JPenn Thank this.

SLC Lighting is an authorized distributor for KD Lamp Co., which was the original equipment manufacturer of the KW headlights. These would be a direct replacement.

with the jw lights how did you guys get them to fit in the housing? with the pigtail and connector they hit on the back of the housing and I threw it together like that although it was squishing the light and bezels. I'm thinking the only thing I can do is cut the wires in between the light and connector and extend them some to get the connector to the dead space between the high and low lights.

Not sure ire what your exsperaincing there, but those jw speaker lights are a straight up swap in the regular 4 headlight system that comes standard in kW t800 and westernstars ECT......).
I never had any issues. Plug @ play.
