If Kroger is still doing business like they were back in the 80s when I delivered to them...they are doomed...and good riddance. When a company gets rid of it's private fleet...bad times are a comin:((

Read an article that Lowe's is also cutting back on workers. Janitors and maintenance work to 3rd parties, and I guess even those who put together grills and other items will be replaced. They offered if someone wants to apply for any current open positions, they would be considered.

Too many companies out there cutting the fluff in some cases and where they don't have to pay the payroll and taxes, like lumpers now.

Send the unemployed staff to the distribution center, tell them they can rake in 200 dollars cash unloading a trailer times however many trailers in a day.

    Let them have at it.

Amazon strikes again or is it Walmart Neighborhood Markets? IDK maybe it's Costco. Grocery Outlet is growing, they're building new stores.

Anything on Winco, Fred Meyer's Safeway, Albertsons or others.

I'm seeing new ones pop up, names?

When I quote a load going to Kroger DC, I usually add extra $300-500 on top of the rate I would charge going to a Costco DC.
I gladly take loads to Costco and gladly spend money in their stores. Maybe if Kroger started to treat people who work for them differently, they would start making more money

In our area its dollar stores.

You can get a can of cambells for a dollar versus what? 1.85 in walmart?

Or chips that are very close to name brand 4.00 chips for a dollar. Manager is always happy to take a special order for you to get next time.

Just never never never ever ever ever whatever you do with life dedicate loads to dollar anything.
