All i can say is i’ve been here since 2012 and although at times i’ve been looking at companies who pay more and kriska might not pay the highest .I look at the company as a whole not just pay and iam still sticking around .If you get good miles you can make a ok living but there are times when the company is slow and at times you can’t figure out how a company as big as kriska doesn’t have more work .For the most part the management and office staff are there to help you out . If iam sick or need a day off i simply call in or send my dsr a email saying i need a day off and it’s like ok i’ll let dispatch know no fighting or anyone saying i have a load that needs to be delivered . since last aug we got two raises ,for me being local it was $1 in aug then another .50 cents this january extra a hr plus $35 a hr after 9 hrs over time .Yes there are other outfits paying more but if management and dispatchers are difficult to work with and make your life hell every day money doesn’t mean much in my opinion. Most highway guys go out sunday afternoon or monday then back friday sometime

I feel that if I'm driving OTR for a long period of time it has to be worth it both financially and mentally because in life you only have one life to live. Being away from your family in order to make a living is a serious sacrifice that many seem to overlook in life. Companies are earning more than 3 times what a driver makes therefore $0.65 cpm has to be a minimum for any consideration regarding any company. Yes, a company that treats you with respect and understands that home time is essential is a better company but the majority of these clerical staff who are usually at home eating well and sleeping in their bed spending evenings with their family never miss out of their kids extracurricular activities after school such as hockey, soccer games etc. O/O Imho the only way it could be worth it overall. I earned $92k locally but my Managers are a bunch of ######## and yes, that is with 6 weeks off annually. However, I'm able to count my quarters and know that as a O/O I can earn much more and still enjoy life as well as spending time with my family. Just my 2 cents...
