Hey everyone! Anyone have any recommendations, comments or suggestions for a good kingpin press tool? We are currently looking at the Tiger Tool set 90150 or the OTC4240. Thanks!

4240 is the best one that I have found as of yet.

25 years and cant remember how many sets of king pins. Never needed a press.
Rosebud and the CP717 always does the trick.Rideandrepair and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this. -
Big Cam wrist pin. Maybe add a handle. Ive used some, the wrist pin is cleaner and smaller.

I have the OTC 4240, works well. Done more than enough with 20lb sledge before I bought it. Never used the tiger tool one, but their other tools never let me down. I use an air over hydraulic unit to power mine. Much faster because you find it takes a little time to get it centered to push square. Usually takes a couple smacks with a hammer on top of forcing screw to persuade really frozen pins. The press becomes a must if dealing with Hendrickson axles with "non-replaceable" pins. Replaced many of them on steerable lift axles. Reaming to a worn pin is a waste of time in my experience.
Rideandrepair, Heavyd and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this. -
