I have a 1 year old T880 and occassionally get an issue that seems to happen either from a stop or when i slow down to an almost stop.

I stomp on the gas pedal and the torque gauge stops at 41% and i crawl until eventually the problem corrects itself (usually within 15-30 seconds). if i let off the pedal and stomp on it again, 41%. this can happen a few times a day, or sometimes goes away for a few days and comes back.

i've tried turning off engine brake, engine fan, cruise control, LIM, PTO. i've recently discovered that if i tap the break pedal, that fixes it.

while this is happening, no lights or warnings, all fluids and temps are good, on flat ground so its not a power issue, the transmission is shifting fine and since i'm only getting 41% its not a too high or too low rpm issue.

We have more than 50 1 year old t880's,they run 24/7.X 15 ,615 hp.We haven't had that issue on any yet.Might have to hook it up to a computer and see what's it's doing.
We have a few trucks that sort of stall out sometimes when starting off from a stop sign ,but I didn't look at the torque when it happened.I usaully just let off the throttle a little and they take off normally again.
Our trucks have different shift point settings, the power setting shifts up at 1900 rpms. The other setting shifts up at 1600 rpms. You might have the economy setting and it limits your torque.
The mechanics flash the transmission and have changed most of the trucks to the power mode.

When the trucks brakes are applied the power is cut. Next time this happens look at your applied air gauge.
