    Hello all,
After many many many searches, I am unable to find a wiring diagram that fits with my base radio!!

I have a 07 KW W900 w/ Base stereo (only 2 speakers) no ext. amp, nothing.

I'm only trying to decode the colors so i can install a nice Kenwood stereo.
none of the colors on the new kenwood stereo match the OEM P.O.S. colors.

anyone have the lowdown on what colors go where?
    thanks!!

Are you cutting wires or wanting the connector? The connector is easy as the VW car one will fit. I know I searched Google and had some luck with a diagram.

Is this a day can that there is only two speakers? (That makes an upgrade simple)

I have to cut the wires and match them by where they go and NOT the colors.
I have 7 wires on the new harness and 8 in the OEM plug.

Yes I have found the same info about the VW plug on here. However, for whatever reason, it does not match my plug/ harness /wire colors.

The original plug wont do me any good anyway as I am installing a new totally different plug into the back of the Kenwood. throwing out the stock stereo

As for the wiring diagram, I found hundreds of all types and dont have the time to look at each microscopic picture of them. I'm probably using wrong terms, or to many words or who knows! heh
    Thanks for responding!! :)

Is there a chance of you posting the current connector you are working with?

Otherwise a test light and a 9 volt battery can be used to figure out the wire situation.

    Rolling18 and Jazz1 Thank this.

I could try that tomorrow (later today), when I start working on it again.
I have heard the 9volt method before, but that wont tell me witch is pos/ neg wires.

That's why I said a test light with the 9 volt battery. As long as the wiring wasn't butchered beforehand. Its not that hard!

    Wait.

Here is the first thing you need to do.

What is the radio that you are taking out of the truck, is it a Delphi truck radio or is it something else?

    Need a model number.

My thought is that it's a pana-pacific or Delphi. As long as the OEM plug is there. The VW adapter will get colored wires that match up. There may be one that has to be tinkered with. I've done this more than once with Kenworth. None of them were hard but they weren't butchered either. I even added an amp and sub to one. Again it was kake.

Yes, It is Delphi / Pana-Pacific, as far down the harness I can see is unfuqed with.
The radio has 2 spaces for plugs. My harness only has 1
I have taken pictures as suggested, and will take them to the stereo store today.
