Hey all first post but have lots of kenworth questions i was wondering if somebody could answer.
1st the W900. I understand the W900L is the long nose and the W900B is the short nose but what does the B stand for? and does the L stand for long. Also, why the W900S? It looks like a set forward axle T800 more than a W900 and what does the S mean. I also know what the W900a is, the early one, but where did that name come from and what does the A mean. And what is a plain W900.
2nd the T800, where to begin, I understand the T800H is the "high hood, the T800W is the "wide hood", the t800sh is the "short hood". Unless im mistaken by the letters actually meaning that. But what is the T800B? what does the B mean. Whats a regular T800? Is there a T800A or not and if so what is it?
3rd the T600. what is the difference between the T600, the T600A and the T600B, and what do the A and the B mean.
4th the T660. What is the difference between the T660 and the T660B and what does the B mean.
5th the K100, what is the difference between the K100, K100E and K100C and what do the E and C mean.
6th. What is the T400, it looks like a T600 so whats the difference? and whats the difference between a T400 and T400A.
7th the T2000 and the T2120, whats the difference" all of the T2120s ive seen seem to be dark in color and the grille is painted to match.
8th suspensions. What is the difference between the ag100, ag380, ag400 , ag460 etc etc and all of the others i missed.
9th CAT 3406 engines, what is the difference between the E, B, A and C and others i may have missed.
10th Big Cam engines. What is the difference between I, II, III, IV engines.
11th. Detroit Engines, what is the difference between all of the DDECs.
12th. Why are KWs sooo much money?
I know im annoying and its a lot of questions, but thank you.

Welcome to the forum. The answers to all ur questions are here just do a little searching
-
difference between B's and the rest is usually to do with the cab style, Aerocab or not. L usually means long hood. Differences in the alpha code generally denote some styling change, dramatic enough that parts from others truck must match the alpha code to fit properly. Ie. head light surround trim from aerocab will not fit a standard cab truck. And most of th eother questions can be answered by searching here or other sources and are not nessarrily limited to info from KW dealers. Most of youyr questions can be answered simply by the fact that as technology 'improves' changes in engines, chassis', suspensions change radically enough that a new model number must be generated, Its the same for just about every other industry in the world.

Question 1
All aerocab W900's start out W900B's the B represents the fact it is a secound generation W900 cab, the first being the non areocab.
Then the L is an option, that stands for long hood -
Welcome to the forum.
Alot of questions to bombard us with in the first or second post.
If your truly interested in trucks(like most here are),in time, you will learn the answers to most of your questions. Trucks are not something you learn in one post. They are alot of studying(as oneshot said, study the forum) and alot of first hand experience. Much can be learned searching the WWW. Search and study manufacturers websites. The hands on experience will give you the best education... -
AG380 400 460 are weight ratings I believe.

thats why i posted this, I couldnt find the info i was looking for on the model numbers, the suspension and engines i could probably research more and find the answers but the model numbers were confusing me. The OEMs site was no help. and i couldnt locate any 3rd party enthusiasts sites that had the info either.
So what your saying is the B means its an aerocab? I must not be understanding that correctly because we have a T800B and it is not an aerocab. Same with the W900Bs the earlier ones It makes sense that they were the newer dash/cab from the W900As, but then what is a plain W900?
The T800Bs seem like they have a long curved hood versus some of the other T800s which have shorter hoods with a straight angle to them. -
So then im assuming AG100 and AG200 are just early versions and dont refer to weight ratings?
