Looking at a 95 W900 with 8 bag KW suspension that has the aluminum "elephant ears", any advice of pros and cons from someone more experienced than I am with them? Everything suppose to be ok but just curious as to what may be unseen that I need to pay attention to. Appreciate the thoughts.
This would not be for off road.

Rides rougher than the 4 bag and does not drop anywhere near what a 4 bag does when you drop the suspension.
Oxbow and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
I've had 2 trucks with this suspention.
That should be ag100.
I found it to be one of the best riding suspentions I've had. It was also very low maintenance. It is also one of very few suspentions that has no torque rise. So it always keeps u joint angles in spec.
Only negative I've found is they don't handle very good. If your heavy and high over the fifth wheel it does have a tendency to lean in the corners.
Other then that not a bad suspention.Oxbow, Ruthless and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
They had smaller bags then the 100 and they rode chappy. The ag100 rides perty nice. I'm assuming this is what he has if his truck is a 95Oxbow and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
Could be. We have 46k rears in our trucks and the 8 bag are #### near the same as the walking beams we have.
Oxbow and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
What year are your trucks?
I do know when they went away from the ag100 to the new style people really complained about the ride. It was terrrible.Oxbow and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
This truck is a 95 Glider actually, so not sure what exact year the rears are. He did say it had the aluminum elephant ears.... Suppose to be an older setup from what he told me.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
I can always change it out later, just don't want to get into right now. Just need to put it on the road and move on. Have a job with a local dispatch pulling stretch trailer and Lowboy. The 1987 K100 I drove for H&W years ago wasn't to bad really.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Oxbow, Ozdriver and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

95 should be the 100. The lower bushings don't last very long . And need to be replaced often.
Other than that issue I liked it had a 96 kw with it....Oxbow, Ozdriver and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.
