So i have a 2007 international 4300 dt466 with 226k miles, flatbed tow truck. This fast Friday it started to act up. I was driving on the freeway and all of sudden the rpm dropped lost some speed and then gained and lost gain. So I pulled over turned the truck off waited a few and started back up. When I put the truck into drive the rpm would increase then a lag then the truck would move some what then rpm drop and shack the whole cabin really bad then just turn off. I called my mobile mechanic and he hooked up the computer and it gave active codes for the

    Camshaft position signal signature incorrect

    Crankshaft position signal signature incorrect

I changed the crankshaft in December of 2018, and changed out the crankshaft this last Friday, but those codes are still coming up. I am not sure if they have both gone bad. Or if it's the engine wire harness that's gone bad. Its that RWC right now but those pulls dont know ####. Thinking of changing out both of the sensors. But worried once I do and the same codes come up, I have no idea what I should.

No check engine light is on.

Hoping someone can maybe help out.

    Thank you

You changed the whole crankshaft a few months ago?

I changed the crankshaft sensor in December of 2018 and the camshaft this past Friday.

When you get those codes, the circuits and sensor are normally fine, because open or shorted circuits cause different codes. We have seen before the sensors come loose or when a replaced, the new one didn't get properly seated due to dirty rust or scale in the bore and slightly too far away from the tone wheel to read properly. If you changed a camshaft, make sure your cam end play is correct for proper sensor spacing. 2007 is a change-over year between EGR DT466 and first generation Maxxforce DT's which are totally different engines, so for any further help I will need to know exactly what engine you have there.
