Anyone up here in MN, IA area have any experience with these guys? I know that they are a pretty big tanker operation and seem to have good equipment. I was looking at going O/O with them or wayne transports. I know wayne has a good reputation but i want to explore all my options. Any opinions would be great. Thanks!

I have worked for Kane for 4 years. I am a company driver but know they are looking very hard for drivers. They have several divisions but during slow times they overlap each other. They also run in Canada if you are interested. They are a very good company and you will be required to put electronic logging [peoplenet] in your truck. Good luck with your looking and email me if you need anymore info.

Just started with Kane. I like them. They seem to be straight forward in their dealings with people and are always hiring it seems. Their equipment is decent as well. (Hope you like yellow.) =)

@2012tanker. I looked at there rate of pay and it doesn't specify how much a starting driver will make. It just gives the percentage increases during weekends and holidays. Can you give me a detail of how much a driver will make starting off with them?

Your starting pay is the same as my pay after 5.75 years with them. If you pull loads out of different locations the pay scale increases as Kane pays a combination of % of load converted to cents per mile. Usually after your head quits spinning you figure it all out!!!!!! Yes they do pay more for weekend work and holidays. Depending on the amount you want to work, ie; be on the road more or home more, you can make in the mid $60s to low $70s or as little as low $30s. They will keep you busy as they need those wheels turnin to make money. Hope this helps. Dave
