Avoid this company at ALL costs! If you don't believe me, check out the reports on www.ripoffreport.com. I gave them notice, turned in the truck at their drop yard(they specified), left key in it with door unlocked so their driver could come pick it up. Four days later, when they picked it up, they claimed the cb radio was missing, and there was various damage to the truck(that I noted when I got truck from previous driver). They took $850 out of my last two checks for this AND put equipment loss and company policy violation on my DAC report! I have been denied many jobs because of this, and today I found out why-they have been telling perspective employers that I "disappeared" and that they had to come get the truck from my house! I called K&B this morning and that's what they told me-I need to find anattorney that will take my case on contingency...it may turn into a class action.

When you said drop yard, I saw that coming. I know its to late now, but you should have told them to route you to there terminal so you could check the truck out with someone, then have them pay your way home. Ive had a couple times in the past where I was ready to just walk away from the truck, but I know I would pay dearly for it later. Anyway, I wish you luck and I would definately call a lawyer (one familiar with trucking).
A few years ago my buddy lasted 2 months with K&B (nice outfit eh?) -

He definetly has grounds to fight this if he has evidence that the damage to the truck was from the previous driver. I say go for it.

Avoid K&B by all means, this outfit is the true meaning of scum, pure savants,I have been in trkn for almost 25 years,I don't know what prompted me to go work for these guys, anyway after working for this scam co. for a while,I decided to call it the quits, I gave them my two full weeks notice, dropped their trk # the terminal cleaned it up,and said bye...Later on I found out that they entered on my DAC,Co.policy violation, called them up and asked them to elaborate, but it was pointless,I have started the legal action ..See ya in court..based on fraud..Also they never send my last paycheck..Stay away by all means..
