Just got a Volvo truck. how to open side compartment doors?

    I tried googling but didnt find anything on this. Company gave me a volvo 780 I think year 2014. And am having trouble opening both side compartment doors. I did find the pins that you have to pull inside the cab by the seats. When i pull on them I hear a pop like they are free, but when I try to pull on the doors they wont open? I looked with a flashlight underneath the doors but didnt find anything extra I have to pull or press on. Is there a secret to opening these compartment doors? Thanks everyone

    Pull the pin and lift the bottom of the compartment door at the same time.

    When you pull the release, it just opens to the first catch, you have to both pull the release again and pull the door open at the same time to get it open. Might seem reduntant, but I have NEVER seen a Volvo running down the road with the compartment door open.

    You have to open the door while pulling the cable.

    I couldn't figure out how to tilt the wheel, the sideboxes weren't a problem. Sure was happy to get the Cascadia back. Just the little different sight lines was enough to make it more difficult for maneuvers.
