68 on the cruise and 70 on the pedal. The truck does have a lane departure thing that is supposed to sound a rumble through the speaker when you cross a line in the road without a signal..
No camera in the truck that I know of.

Nothing against the lease, but can't understand why anyone would do that for 90cpm plus fsc.
I'm following jct thread and judging by some posts over there, weekly pay is from 500$-1400$+ with 1200$ being an average. Now,that's before taxes and everything.
And that's not only the case with jct but with many other companies paying their lease drivers by the mile.
So,you're making company driver wages while responsible for truck maintenance?
Sure, trucks are newer and under warranty but new trucks are gonna brake down also and warranty doesn't cover everything, plus down time equals no miles equals no big paycheck.
You're not paying for trailer, cargo insurance,plates,ifta....ok,but refrigerated freight pays well, more than dry loads. Average pay per mile out of California is 3$ per mile for reefers ( my friend used to pull reefer so I know ) so on a 2000 miles run you could cover all your payments, truck, trailer, insurance, whatever.
So instead of getting 6000$ for that load you're getting 1800$ plus fsc. Most of what's left goes to company's pocket.
Again,I'm not trying to be negative or something, just saying that these lease deals should pay lot more.Last edited: Jul 6, 2016

It is part of my business plan. The truck payment is only $120 a week to park it. So that plays into my business expansion plans. My truck went down with major repairs over the last couple years which broke me. Meanwhile I lease a JCT truck to get back on my feet and repair my truck. Get back in my truck and hire a driver for the JCT truck.
Now we all know how hard it is to find good drivers. Plus drivers quit sometimes 2000 miles from your location. Well at $120 a week while I'm looking for that next driver, it won't be repo'd see.
Yes you're right the pay is right in line more or less than a company driver but remember a large portion of the earnings are going into purchasing the truck. So it's not like I'm out here wasting my time.RoadDogTruckingClone! Thanks this. -
I once drove for JCT, didn't have a single complaint ......that is until my truck was 3 months from being paid off and I was released. Of course I could have paid the truck off out of my maintance account if it had been for the fact that I had to have not one but 2 turbos put on at their shop within 3 weeks of each other both times I was told that they weren't covered by the warrenty .before I lost the 1st turbo I had purchased 10 new Virgin tires .long story short I bought a bus ticket home and busted my butt to buy a good used truck now I run when and where I want as a O/O

Just a thought, If I'm a dispatcher and you start with the insults and name calling I'm guessing the good loads aint coming your way. This is the problem that L/Os have, relying on a company dispatcher for their living. You agree to pay the expenses to run the business and then put your ability to earn money in a min wage dispatcher, makes no sense.

What I can't rap my head around, and in no way understand is what "safety" has do with telling a dispatcher, dm, planner, etc., that he/she is lazy incompedent, or just plain stupid.
Safety has job job of dealing with issues fron the FMCSA, and/or OSHA.
If someone from the safety department ever approached me about any discussion I had with a dispatcher, dm, planner, etc., where I was questioning their competence in their job, my answer would be not in your area of responsibility, not your business and hang up,
This of course is assuming that the issue did not involve hours of service or some other actual safety matter.
Nowhere in this thread was this point brought up, am I the only one wondered about what business of safety is this?White_Knuckle_Newbie Thanks this. -
When i drove for them as a team truck there was always freight. And in the beginning the money was Very good. But even though we got the miles And stayed on i10 money started to go down. Always had issues with walmart dc's though. But our dispatch was totally awesome, he always took care of us. I can say that swaps was a huge pain in the keister. They would promise money for swaps and then you would have to hunt down your money. But i can honestly say they take good care of thier hard working employees ### long as you don't lay down and take the crap that they try to fed you. I know drivers that have been screwed over pretty #### good though. They were very good drivers and did not deserve to be treated bad.
