Sorry for your experiences,As far as them trying to collect on any money personally I would not pay and never say you will deny you owe.These LP companies are all the same they want it both ways.What I mean is most will not report any made payments to any credit bureaus but they will try to report money owed,so as there claim you owe I personally would wait and see if they tried to hit your credit and if they do I would dispute it and you will probably never here from them again.But I would seriously look for a good company job and get your money straight .Good luck PS there is a reason why they gave that $4000 to a collection agency instead of taking you to small claims court they can’t win as far as I understand if your purchasing something that is credit payment and the payee is not reporting made payments the court will not except there claim .

 

The major difference between a leased car is they are reporting made payments to a credit bureau,so yes in turn they can report non payments.Most of these fleece companies will not report made payments tho.So as far as I understand the credit laws they can’t then turn around and report non payments.That is the reason there will try collecting thru a collection agency instead of suing in small claims court for $4000 they can’t win in court

 

I don’t think we’re talking about just missed truck payments here. Sounds like the op owed money for repairs. Sounds like JCT fronted him money for the repairs.

That’s another tactic these outfits use to enslave the driver into servitude.

Most cities have teaching hospitals or dental colleges that will pull it for free or fix it. Or you can go to any emergency room & they can at least kill the pain.

I've gotten emails from JCT regarding my truck and invoices telling me I owe them 4,050 dollars for repairs.... Then I got a collection report stating I was being turned over to a collection company..

If it has gone to collection your credit is screwed anyway. Tell the collection agency to pound sand. They already bought the debt from JCT & are just trying to make a buck.
