This was a nice surprise on my trip to Buffalo. It's located off I-90 in NY, exit 52-E. The entrance is also the eastern entrance to K-Mart. You'll see it on the right hand sign with the large Sunoco sign. Just after the building on the right is where to turn in for the fuel island. Just further back is truck parking.
Showers are $8 or free with 50 gallons of fuel. You pay for the shower at the restaurant. They give you 2 towels, washcloth and soap if you need it. I had a nice big shower and the water stayed hot the entire time. My only two complaints were there was no place to set your soap, razor, shampoo, etc. and secondly there was only one hook to hang things up on so while my jackets were hanging up I ended up having to set my towels on the toilet seat lid. Not the best, but it was workable.
The restaurant was pretty good, too. They have a separate room for smokers. The waitresses were nice. The food was pretty good and there were locals in there too so that was a good sign. Pretty reasonable prices as well.
Next door is a K-Mart so if you don't mind a little walking you can buy things there if you need to stock up or simply don't want to pay C-store prices.
Another good thing about this truck stop is when leaving the fuel island you pull up to an intersection with a 4-way stop light.
So Jim's Truck Plaza in Buffalo NY gets the thumbs up from me!
(Oh and right now they have free WiFi)

you really have to try it in the summer---they fill up the 3ft deep potholes out back and use them as swimming pools
but its not too bad--i would guess its the best ruckstop in buffalo itself
but watch out for the pot holes in the back lot--if you have a real low truck your going to lose a bumper -
There is also a mall real close by there

Anytime I filled in on our Rochester/Buffalo run, that is were I stayed. Told our regular driver about the place and now for the past two years, he's been staying there. He use to sleep in the lot at ADM, behind G/M.
The potholes? Try blackholes, LOL. I swear, the last time I was there(12/08) a truck got eaten by one of those holes. -

yes the gonhorea --oops galeria i meant , mall is just a hop and skip away right accross the street
you arnt really supposed to park in the kmart lot--in fact there is a nono line drawn on the pavement--but i had to a few times---nothing was ever said--its like a 5 acre lot that has only maybe 20 cars in it on a busy day -
I have had to park in the K-mart lot. They don't mind after the store closes too much. Security will ask you to move in the morning if you are still there before the store opens. All in all they were pretty nice about the whole thing.

JustSonny Thanks this.

Yeah, I've always liked Jim's...heck I thought everybody knew about it! And that truck in the pothole? That was mine...only place I could park!
K-Mart...depends on who's working security that night. Some nights I've been tossed right out, other nights I've been left alone until it's time to go to work again....and the old K-Mart manager (from about two years ago) was a real azzhat to drivers...Lilbit Thanks this. -
Just be careful if you're parking on the row facing the mall, or I think it is actually directly facing an auto parts store. It is the row on the far side of the lot up towards and facing the street. It is very tight getting into those spots.
Usually whenever I have been there, there has been a couple of feet of snow on the ground also. Decent place, I was not wild about the restaurant though it is okay. I went in the last time I was there and wanted to buy two cooked hamburger patties without the bread or anything else and they said they would have to charge me for the whole hamburger. I guess that is not unusual, but for some reason the way they handled it or something pissed me off.
