I got my hair screwed and cut up for a hair follicle test. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with 4 different recruiters, application and onboarding specialists just to get it in the beginning stages of processing. Then, they called my references and asked them stupid questions. Meanwhile I’m still getting calls from other JB hunt recruiters and 3rd party JB Hunt recruiters about the same job opening.
One person told me I’d be starting in Utah, someone else told me I’d be starting in California. I wanted to talk to the account manager to find out if the salary info is correct and find out what location I’ll be starting and if they are going to pay for my airport parking, and what per diem and hotel if they intend to fly me to California. The recruiter of course had no idea and they refused to provide the account manager’s information so I was in the dark.
I spent 4 hours listening to beginner training videos and food safety videos which didn’t apply to what I’d be hauling.
A couple days later, I got a call from the recruiter (still was never contacted by the account manager) saying the position has been filled.
I definitely shouldnt have wasted time on the videos in hindsight. I still wasn’t hired on paper, never filled out a W2, or all that. Do I have a leg to stand on to get paid for this if I were to file a claim with the dept. Of labor?
I want to be paid for all my time wasted first of all. And other than write poor reviews everywhere I can, what else can I do? Lower their CSA score somehow? They should seriously pay a penalty for all this. I can play dirty too.
JB Hunt- How do I screw them back?

I am glad I never went through a hiring process for these companies. Every time I see stuff like this it makes me happy I went O/O right away and left that stuff for everyone else.
I also thought they paid for all the stuff you talked about but guess they don't if you're not hired. Did they tell you up front you are not hired or did you just assume you was hired?Last Call, Puppage, Concorde and 1 other person Thank this. -

When I did orientation at Swift the guy they had me rooming with had been to Swift orientation eight years before and had quit during orientation. They hit him with a charge for the physical exam they had given him before he quit. He quit again.
When I did orientation at SRT one of the guys in the class was handed a memo saying he'd have a charge on his first statement. When he asked what it was for the instructor said when he had worked there before he hadn't turn in the three little books when he quit. Seriously!Need4Speed, Harley Canine, Siinman and 4 others Thank this. -
Sounds typical J B Hunt to me. Reel you in with a promise of a decent job, but then pull the rug out from under you, saying job was filled. Maybe go around truckstops, and switch the trailer airlines around on unsuspecting JB rigs parked.....
