I work for JB Hunt and I am not going to say where or what I do. But I will tell you this, the new pay scale for Final Mile had cut the pay allot and all the drivers at my location are looking for a new job and some have already quit. They have seen their pay cut 40% percent..... Can't wait until I find a new job myself.......

I thought that J.B. Hunt required 3 or more years of experience to get onto their fleet, in addition to be being a top notch company that pays their drivers some of the best wages in the trucking industry.

I worked for JB pulling containers into and and out of Chicago for 3 1/2 years. Usually just back and forth from Chicago to Wisconsin. I made 50k a year with great benefits. Adding in extra pay for drop and hook, live load or unload and detention my base pay of .365 a mile was up to. 54 a mile average in 2011. I drove and pulled some of the best equipment on the highway. Things changed in 2012. No extra pay and now run 7 to 9 states.

I have never worked for J.B. Hunt or any trucking company at all.

Also, I have never driven a truck. I hope one day to get trained and drive solo as an OTR truck driver.

From having talked to truck drivers in the past, I was under the impression that J.B. Hunt was one of the best paying companies with lots of miles.

The DCS segment of JB is in direct competition with the likes of NFI and Cardinal Logistics, so be ready to work for peanuts.
