Just had a PM service done and had the fuel shut off solenoid replaced. Drove about 45 miles all good, except when I turn off key, it runs for about 6secs, then shuts off. Now after an additional 100 miles, it has no power, max speed on level about 63, and pulling a 6% 1/4 mile grade 25 mph....this is all while bobtailing. Still have the 6sec delay after key is turned off before motor shuts off. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

'Make sure the disc inside the shutoff solenoid is installed correctly if it's flipped over it will run on for a bit like you experience
MonticelloJeff Thanks this. -
ISX will run on like that when there is something wrong with the shutdown solenoid. There is about 6 pieces in there to make it work. If they installed anything wrong then the disc will not seat and fuel will not be cut off from the engine. The center of the disc has a rubber seal on it that blocks the fuel passage once the solenoid is de-energized. If any of this rubber seal is damaged or missing it will leak fuel into the fuel system and the engine will keep running.

I just had my fuel shut off valve replaced at Cummins under a warranty I got from Ry**r.
Immediately I got the running on issue the first time I tried to shut it off, I took it back and they said they corrected it, it was a bad electrical connection and it stopped running on. We used the truck for one run two days later and it started to run on again. Took the truck back and now mysteriously I have an injector problem.
This truck never ran on prior to the FSOV being replaced. It was originally in because the engine lost power without throwing any codes.
The warranty has now expired during that week and Cu***ns wants to bill me by saying it is a wonderous fluke that it now has an injector problem.
The engine starts great, idles smooth as silk without any ramping up, no smoke, great fuel economy, nothing in oil, no blow by, the engine was rebuilt and I mean everything by Ry**r 106,000 km's ago or 65,000 miles ago, injectors as well.
This engine started and stopped thousands of times without running on and since the FSOV replacement it runs on 3 out of 4 shut downs.
Shouldn't this still warranties by Cu***ns?
