Just wondering if there is a way to hook up a battery charger set up? I have an inverter hooked to a mini fridge and Im tired of taking everything out of it when I go home and when I leave again turning it back on and waiting for it to cool down again. I usually go home on the weekends so I have to do this alot lol.. Any ideas?
Is there a way to hook up a battery charger so inverter doesnt drain battery?

Just run an extension cord to the fridge. You were gonna run an extension cord to the battery charger anyway, right?

Well I have to park the truck down the road about 2 miles so thats not a option. Well I guess it could be but Im sure somebody would unplug me with 2 miles of cord. lol

I guess Im thinking something of a battery maintainer thats plugged in to inverter and is connected to batteries. I dont know if this is even able to be done, Ive just been thinking to much today.

Get something along these lines. It's a solar powered trickle charger. This is just the first one I found but a little further research into it and you should be able to pin point the size you need.

not possible, the inverter and battery charger will always draw more power than they replace in the batteries.

A battery maintainer connected to an inverter will not work due to the efficiency losses thru the devices. A solar charger larger than the demand of the fridge should work.

Oh I get it. You wanted to plug a charger into the inverter to charge the batteries to keep the inverter going ad infinitum. ROFLOL!

Your best option is to do what I do - bring the fridge to the house along with the contents, and plug it in there.

It is probably built into the truck.
