I have heard from friend who works for Swift and loves it. Is there anyone who has worked for swift and was just miserable? Have heard good and bad.

My experiences with them, I'd describe as mixed.

My experience was just fine with them up until this week. plenty of miles and all my pay was correct. buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

My experience with the Sumner shop has been nothing but great, same for Troutdale. Swift is a huge company and in all companies that size there are idiots who make decisions effecting procedures they know nothing about. In Sumner Joanna and Nona are grea to work with Julian is a total waste a human life. I clear 500 for a 60 hour week doing heavy haul. I am home every weekend and usually a few nights a week also. I have never driven for anyone else but my experience in the USNavy was simular, there are good and not so good people just make the best of the experience.

Hubby just passed his first year mark with swift. He is still loving what he is doing. Swift isnt perfect but it is far from the worst.

I've been here just over a year and in my opinion, it really isn't all that bad. It's really all about the people who work here. Some are great, some are a waste of time. But it's how you deal with them and handle the situations that will make or break you. You will hear a lot of negative stuff out there. Chances are, the person who is bashing Swift is either 1) has never worked for Swift and really has no first hand knowledge, he is just relaying stuff he has heard, or 2) has worked for Swift and has possibly run into one of the more negative type employees or was fired for some reason (which was probably Swifts fault, not theirs). In this case, you need to ask yourself what is that persons part in the events that took place. In all cases, the person involved never did anything wrong, it was all Swifts fault. Right.
Just remember, everything you hear negative about Swift has also been said about just about every other company out there. It just seems that for some reason, people are more vocal about it with Swift.BigShrek72 and JustSonny Thank this. -
