When I was doing the post-trip, I noticed there was a little bump on my right steering tire. It is a new tire installed a month ago.

I can barely see the bulge, but when I touch it, I feel it is not flat. I upload the pics of it.

Hope you can help me find out if it is normal or needs to pay attention.

    Thank you!

Damaged sidewall cord most likely. Possibly caused by a pothole.

Indentations are normal but bulges are not.

Bring it back to your tire shop and have them replaced it.

I had problems with Michelin tires last time I got a set of steers…one could not be balanced.

I had it removed at the shop and got credit after a Michelin rep looked at it. Took two weeks to get it warranted out.

Thank you. Should I go back to where I got it, or can I go to any shop to get it replaced? How can I report this to a Michelin rep?

I’d go back to where you got it unless it’s painfully inconvenient. They may swap it out no questions ask or go a more difficult route.

My experience was with Petro in Joplin and they made it difficult. Their policy was that I pay for a 3rd tire and leave the bad one and wait for the rep. Just another crap place I won’t do business with again..they obviously knew that the tire was junk when they put it on.

Right on. It is really inconvenient. I will need to find another shop to get the tire. Hope new shop can get it covered by Michelin warranty.

    Siinman Thanks this.

You will need to convince them that it was like that when they put it on. They won’t cover it if you tell them you hit a curb or pothole.

My problem was obviously a manufacturer defect since the tire was egg shaped.
