Is Blue Def Platinum worth it?

This is just my opinion so take it for what it's worth. Yeah it's probably better quality but I've been running DEF trucks since 2012 and using the bulk DEF at the pumps only 2 times have I ever had to do a Regen due to poor 6 quality DEF in 10 plus years.

 

Added note if there's any crystalization on the nozzle I make sure to clean it off before I pump.

 

Your paying extra for Blue DEF premium to help sponsor some of the motor sports sponsors. I purchase most of mine in bulk from well know truck stops. Once in awhile I’ll purchase the boxes from Home Depot.

 

You also have to worry about how the store stores the blue DEF. Heat then cold and direct sunlight affects that stuff.

 

Only time it's worth the extra cost is when the pumps are frozen in winter and you on empty but the truck stop is sold out of jugs

 

I been using the bulk DEF at pumps since 2014. Never had an issue, both in a company truck and my own
