Is an OOIDA membership worth it if...

You can find what you need without them....

When time comes tho if you need a process agent its worth it .....

 

Being informed of news and regulations is worth the price.If you have a problem, they can be helpful as they are truckers and have seen a thing or two

I'm also a lifer. For a little over a hundred bucks they included a really nice jacket and some other trinkets. I also receive a $5 a month discount on a service I utilize, so that's worth it alone

Once hit a guy in the mouth so hard he fell back on the concrete floor because of his smart mouth.
Thought of leaving him a OOIDA patch for when he woke up.. but I couldn’t find one at the time.

I don’t know the relevance though.

But they are my process agent, then I also pay cmci for drug testing purposes.

 

Ooida gets the one finger salute from me. To bad they bleep out the cuss words on here cause you'd likely learn some new ones

 

I've never been an 0/0, but was a member of OOIDA for 25 years and it was well worth it for all the information I learned.

Um, landline is free to anyone. I wouldn't join ooida if it was free, but get the magazine for sitting on the can, need something for toilet paper.

 

I’ve been a member for 24 yrs. Have to be to participate in cmci. Don’t really use them for anything else. They helped me in the past. I like to see someone at least trying to make positive changes. Don’t really care for all the Insurance for sale. Prices seem high. I had them for Liability and cargo, etc. Not real insurance, but risk retention. Makes for a conflict of interest. How do you fight an insurance company, whose first interest, is the members as a whole, And you’re a member? Always room to criticize, but at least someone’s trying to do something. I support them, and overall, approve of their choice of causes.
