If you don’t like the policies find another company. There’s plenty of them to choose from. Every company has some policy or a rule that is going to piss one person off and then some. Buy your own truck and make your own rules. I’ve been a driver for over 44 years. The industry has gone to ####..either go with the rules or look for another career. Not trying to sound like a jerk but it’s pretty much the only thing that you can do because there just isn’t he perfect company out there in this perfect world. Good luck hope it all works out for you.

You'll notice the drivers that get fired for penny-ante stuff or don't want any rules on them don't start their own trucking company and allow their drivers to do whatever they want. They take for granted someone will build a yard, build a shop, buy the trucks and trailers, find the customers, pay for the insurance and fuel and DOT compliance, and then want to do whatever they want. 250 pound toddlers.

Jb hunt has a hiring standard problem…wouldn’t need inward cameras if they actually hired professionals instead of wannabes..with that said..jb hunt is nothing short of pos bait switch lying company and they get what they deserve

I don't like other people's arbitrary rules or them having the ability to 'check in' on me via a camera. I got my own numbers and now don't have to worry about nanny calls whenever someone cuts me off and I touch the brake a wee bit too hard.

I worked there for a year. IMO , it was an organized crime syndicate that used sophisticated soft and hard tactics to force their drivers to violate HOS so company could make more profits.
IMO upper echelon executives used several layers of bureaucracy to separate themselves from the wrong doing while knowing it was going on.

Start prosecuting these companies under the RICO statutes. Send the CEO to prison.

Would you allow a driver you hired for your company to ignore insurance company requirements and jack up your insurance rates so he can feel free or would you tell him to spend his money however he likes and wish him well at his next job?

My view is i dont want to be monitored 24/7, i get WHY they do it and in this case it was justified. I just hate having a camera in my face and logs, trackers, conpliance rules tests and the government in general shoved so far up my arse you can see them when i talk. And the more you tolerate the more they will push.

There is a point where even if a tool makes sense, it ends up punishing you for being human and becomes overbearing. And the more you tolerate the further they push. Whats next food intake monitors? Mandatory Cpaps that wont let you drive unless you get the perfect amount of sleep? I find anyone who instantly assumes because you object to ever more intrustive tech with the standard "if you do nothing wrong, then you got nothing to hide!" Mentality to be blithering idiots on par with our current leaders.

So in my case people said "dont like it? Make your own!" so....i did. I put on my bigboy pants and drive for myself now and put my cash and my sweat where my words were. And i still find anyone who tolerates #### like this to be idiots.

That’s an easy problem to solve.

Get rid of the boys, hire men, and keep the ones that don’t need to be babysat.

Thinking on it another point to make against these cameras, loggers and anal crevice inspection tools. They let companys be lazy. As such the quality of driver has gone through the #### floor. Why spend days weeks or months looking for and/or training the best drivers. Drivers you can trust to be adults and do the #### job. Drivers you can trust to drive and not spend all #### day on a phone. Drivers who dont have cabs so full of empty pedolight cans you have a waterfall of them fall out if you so much as roll down a window. When you can just hire anyone and spy on them.

These devices make it so these companys dont need to be responsible. They can just grab any joe shmoe off the street regardless if he cant read the signs, read a map, or read a 5 ton bridge ahead sign. Just grab em and stuff em in a truck. All the nanny #### and hard correction devices will sort it out!

If you want to acuse someone of not being an adult then acuse the companys that are too lazy and too stupid to do the leg work. All these devices do is catch bob who is an otherwise great worker but forgets to put on his seat belt when bobtailing 10 feet across the yard to his next trailer and get him fired by your harassment and retaliation department while allowing keven who couldnt problem solve his way out of a wet rice paper bag to rely on all these "safety" systems to make up for his incompitence.

Meanwhile your corpo critters will rejoyce because they can stuff morons into the seats and pay them pennys on the dollar. Rather then using the whole dollar to ensure you get a good worker. And if the occasional keven gets into a situation where he skips multiple truck escape routes and plows into a bunch of stopped cars killing or injuring dozens? Oh well the nanny #### wasnt good enough. Just add more so the next keven is even more stiffled and more bobs who can problem solve get yeeted out with the bathwater.
