I think it would depend on how competent the technician is. If they have someone who is knowledgeable and understands how to tie into your electrical system then no problem.
If they have the new lube jockey attempt it, then you may need to have more electrical and electronic work performed than you bargained for??

    Jdm5jdm5 Thanks this.

Probably about 26 hours with 5 hours of waiting time. They will probably even open your hood just to make it look like they're doing something...

But really. It is not rocket science to do it yourself. Just use the correct gauge cables

Why don't you go in to a TA and ask them directly?

The actual installation should not take long. The thing is unless you are an OO you might want to check with the carrier you drive for to see if they want one on their truck. Most carriers already have them on. The risk of fire arising from a shotty install is VERY great! Again unless you actually OWN the truck follow the carrier's policy!

Moose gave you the best advice.I would do it myself if you are a o/o but if you one of the trucker that drives for a company then yes its best to follow company policy you dont want to have a faulty install to burn down a 100 thousand dollar truck.I am a retired driver trainer of 32 years [Blondie]

It really isn't rocket science. Install the correct gauge cables and there won't be any risk of fire
