I googled this before I came here. I also searched for my answer in the search box here before creating a whole new thread. I'm sure the answer has already been stated. But I am desperate.
I got my CDL A in 2013. I drove flatbed OTR for 4 months and then I've been driving locally ever since.
I recently had a background check from CHECKR.com (or something like that) say that my CDL's are invalid. I found this out about 30 minutes ago, so DMV is already closed for the day.
My med card doesn't expire until August 2015.
I heard back last year that some technicality was causing drivers to have their licenses to show invalid. Is anyone familiar with this or any other reason they can show as invalid?

See http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/registration/commercial-drivers-license/medical for more information.BostonTanker Thanks this. -
Yeah, even though you do have a valid med card, you may not have gone in person to your DMV and self certify that you needed on as per DOT regulations. If per some chance however, the clinic you went to was supposed to do this, guess what, they maybe did, but it got lost along the line.
I'd suggestYOU GO TO your DMV rather than to call them, as you will be put on "forget", NOT hold.BostonTanker Thanks this. -
Wow. That was so very helpful. Thank you so much.

I wouldn't pay any attention to what some 15th party internet background check website says, their not the ones who issued your CDL.

First time I've heard of checkr, but it appears to be a for-profit records searchng service. It could very well be they have erroneous information.
The actual government website containing records of license suspensions is the National Driver Registry (aka NPR) who maintains the Problem Driver Pointer System (PDPS), which is available to DMV's of all 50 States;
http://www.nhtsa.gov/Data/National+Driver+Register+(NDR)
The DMV in the State in which you are licensed, or even a State in which you were once licensed may record your license as suspended. Also, the State Tax authorities or IRS can instruct the DMV to list your license as suspended, again, even months (or more) after you've moved and traded in your old license for one from your new State.
Individuals may request their own records at no cost by following directions on the NDR website, but it takes forever (45 days...?). The quickest method is to visit your local DMV and have them check with NDR... This now happens automatically in all States when renewals are due.
Hopefully in this instance, checkr is in error and your DMV will provide you with proof, because it can be an expensive and time consuming ordeal to have a suspension removed from PDPS....
