International S13 or A26

    I'm looking into getting a new truck, what motor should I go with. Pros and cons of both would be appreciated.

    Sell Internationals in Canada. S13 is very new, but initial results have been very good. Have a customer with 5 x LT’s w/ A26 and during a 2 month demo with the new S13, he averaged between 8.5 & 9mpg (imp) with his A26’s. He averaged 11.15mpg with the S13 demo over 2 months. Needless to say, he only wants the S13 going forward.

    Doing what? running US? Canada? what kind of weights he hauling?

    Hauling 65k to 80k dry vans, goes Winnipeg to Chicago, Chicago to Toronto and finally Toronto to Winnipeg.

    The demo he tried was a 450hp / 1650 torque with 2.47 rear end.

    Can go up to 515hp / 1850 torque.

    Right now, S13 are limited to LT trucks. If you go with a heavier HX or HV, A26 is your only choice, other than Cummins.

    Our first HX620 with the S13 is supposed to build mid December. Should be a very nice package.
