international maxforce fan clutch problems

    International maxforce fan clutch problems, 2014 maxforce fan clutches coming apart, under warranty, takes out radiator and coolers, IH gave state new clutch,, we did the labor and have replaced three in 40,000 miles,, IH's fix was to turn the RPM down, from 2200 to 1800, sure fixed the power curve, didn't fix the fan, anyone else had this issue?

    Which style? Gear driven fan hubs with variable clutches? We use to see lot of failures with engines that had DOC efficiency tests run on them because that test runs the engine up to 2200 rpm with the fan on 100% and was too violent. Knock on wood, haven't lately though.

    Maxforce 13, with belt drive fan original was single speed, replacements have been 'gold seal' if I remember correctly, two speed they said, but it just eats the bearings out, so far we have caught it before went through radiator,, have to check it weekly if running it hard, just upset IH isn't worried about it, and the state bosses don't care
