First of, excuse me if I posted this in the wrong spot. Wasn't quite sure where this goes.
I am a company driver and it's like pulling teeth to get them to replace my driver seat. The shock is blown, its bouncy, rattles, and is really squirrely, however the passenger seat is great, never used. So I am wondering if you can just swap them around without major issues? Now right off I see that the seat belts are in the wrong spot but it also looks like it's is two bolts to switch them over to the correct side.
As anyone ever done or have advise about doing it?

It should be the same seat .
The seat belt will unbolt and just swap to other side -
Funny you brought this up because I have been looking at the same thing. I asked maintenance to fix the lower lumbar air bags in mine as the immediately leak when inflated but nothing was done. I have been eyeing doing the swap seeing as the passenger seat is pretty much brand new and the bags work as they are supposed to. When mine deflate, I end up with this bar going right across my lower back. Only issue I see with the swap is there is an air hose going to the seats and I'm just not sure it can be disconnected so easily. I haven't crawled around yet to see what is all involved but from what I can see, there is some type of connection that takes place just as the air hose comes thru the floor and I'm not sure that connection is able to be disconnected and reconnected so easily. I'm just worried I'll break that connection and then I'm really screwed. Let me know if you find anything out as I need to get this done. Not sure asking maintenance to do the swap is a possibility. You would think they would have already thought of this.

You will also have to switch or remove the arm rest.
It does not look that hard, but you will have to cut the fabric to reinstall in the opposing side, and will have a hole on the side it was removed from. Which might tip off the company.
If you move it I recommend going all the way down to the four frame bolts mounted to the floor. The air line looks like about 1/8th inch. I just had my seat replaced on my new-ish company truck. The air connection was a quick connect similar to this one.
Push the blue part inwards and the air line should release. If you are OTR I would suggest doing it at a TA/Petro so you can buy parts if needed, or get help, on your dime of course if this is not authorized.
But ya, a bad seat SUCKS~! Mine had a bad back section. the right side was twisted back more than two inches. I had taped foam to the right side to keep my back in line. The lumbar air bags sounded like a whoopee cushion and the height adjustment valve was malfunctioning. It would hold the height for a few days then some days it would continually raise up, other days it would lower.
Good luck.

The base on mine has broken weld so when getting in and out if flips up so I nearly fall out. Only two bolts and 1 airline to swap the base.
Maybe you could see which parts you can swap around. -
That is the exact connection where the air line comes thru the floor. If that can be separated, then the rest should be pretty easy. I agree on going with the 4 bolts holding the seat to the floor. The seat belt "bolts" appear to be either hex or star pattern. Again, pretty simple access. Curious why the arm rest would need to be moved. They seem the same on both sides but maybe I'm missing something. Home for the weekend so don't have access to the truck right now to check. My truck is a Cascadia if that makes any difference. Seems pretty ridiculous to leave a pretty much new seat sitting on the passenger side when the drivers seat is in need of replacement.

I really appreciate the info. On my Cascadia, the seats seem identical with arm rests on both sides. The controls for the seat are also both on the left side so it would pretty much be a direct switch as I think there isn't a designated drivers or passenger seat. I think there is just the one type used for both applications. Looks like the four floor bolts, the two seat belt "bolts and the quick connect on the air line and I would be in business. My lower back thanks you.

Just make sure you have a 2nd set of hands. Those seats don't look it but they are pretty heavy and awkward.

Hey thanks for the input everyone! I think I'll try it here in a few days when I have the chance and I'll try to document the process.
