Hello All,
Im thinking of making a switch in jobs. Ive been with my current employer for the two plus years since obtaining my CDL. With two years as a rookie driver behind me I am now looking at some different options.
Im looking for any feedback that anyone might have on a company called Central Trucking, Inc. or CTI. CTI has terminals in: Kingman, AZ, Amarillo, TX, Springfield, MO, and Columbus, IN. Im most interested in terminal to terminal work. Any info that anyone can provide is welcome.
Thanks,
dd

I know they have nice equipment, thats about the extent of what i can tell you
-
Anyone have any other experience with this company? Can I assume that no news is good news?
Yea, yea, yea I know what happens when I assume.
Thanks,
dd -
I'd be curious to know more about them as well. I see them running on I-44 around here all the time. They seem to have good freight lanes, running midwest to west.

Call them and talk to the recruiter. They always tell the truth!
Rollr4872 Thanks this. -
Company is going to mandatory e-logs. Very nice equipment (T660's w/ isx motors and 9 speeds, battery apu, and bunk heater. 5 min un overrideable idle shutdown) You have to slipseat .. no choice, well unless you team. Non forced dispatch (in kingman, dont know about springfield). Total crap pay (Im guessing the dues they feel you have to pay for driving nice equipment).
If you damage their truck or any goods they will charge you the first 1k, you can work it out with them to take it out of your settlement ... but if you do have an incident just be aware you will probably not be recieving a final pay check.
They run ads on craigslist out here all the time. I have a buddy that has worked there off and on ... just cant make enough money because of their pay scale and e logs.
IWX is a much better company, with better insurance and payscale. Only drawback, Freighliners ....they are very well maintained though (cat c15 and 10spd). Their trucks will idle ... which is nice when its 120 degrees in Yuma and your battieries die, or the tri pac craps out.bentstrider83 Thanks this. -
But I did see they raised their pay. .32 a mile if you head east of Kingman, .37 if you head west to Cali. -
Slip seating, you don't get a choice of truck, you are assigned a truck for this run then they dump you in another one. That and the pay says Thanks but No Thanks.
