Hey all, does anyone out there have any info and or the scoop on this school? Are they good? What is the instructor to student ratio, etc. etc.? Or does anyone have a recommendation for a GOOD, HIGH QUALITY school anywhere in California, comparable to SAGE?
Thanks. I am researching my options if SAGE in CO or Utah cant work out.

Its nothing more than a place to help you get your CDL, you do 2 weeks in classroom, learning all the info on the DMV written test, you'll go to the DMV, get your permit, then the next two weeks you'll train behind the wheel..once again it will be just enough to make sure you pass your driving test and get your CDL..thats it...!!!!....they--like other( truck driving schools) are just a template to get a CDL..you are not taught to be a truck driver..some people who read this will know what I'm saying,.you will understand it a year out from now..
UsualSuspect Thanks this. -
I say just go to that one if you live LA ...you can be home at night..

Does a school or place exist that teaches you to be a "truck driver"? Or you get that from the actual experience of being a truck driver? Should I look into company sponsored training instead?
Thanks.

If you have 4k to pay for school out of pocket that is the best way to go, if a company pays for your schooling you will sign a contract to not leave them for one or two years and if you do quit before that--- and I assure you 9 out 10 new drivers- never last more than a year with the 1st company..you will have to pay back all that money..so dont be a slave ..All schools are the same, they get you a CDL ..ok nothing more...matters not here you go..if you can go close to home do it...better yet go to the DMV..pick up a CMV booklet and study it then go take the written tests on your own to get your permit..then find somebody you know who has a truck that would teach you drive, pratice with him , then rent a truck for a day at the DMV ..then bam there you are with a CDL..all the companys care about is ..do you have a license..

I cant tell you about details about trucks, teacher, ratios, drop out & success rates,costs...but this one thing is true,,,, they will only teach you how to get your CDL..thats it..
