I spoke with someone at the ILCC today and was told if I have a DOT# I do not need cab cards in Illinois anymore. Can anyone verify if this is true?

Your cab card is your registration. So what you are sayin is a dot number has now replaced the need to register a truck? Seem legit.

I don't have anything called a cab card. I have what's called Illinois Apportionment Identification Card, which is also known as a truck registration.

I have the same thing, but I've heard it called a cab card also.

This is what we previoulsy filled out for INTRASTATE commerce. We are still only operating INTRAstate but was told over the phone I did not need cab cards because we have a DOT #.

I just am curious if anyone knows for certain, that info seemed wrong to me, But I am not super familiar with Illinois.
