IFTA temporary permit

Hey guys, I am licensed in Illinois and have the IFTA license certificate but still waiting on the blue decal sticker. Can I drive without the physical blue decals or am I at risk for violations/fines. They said we have 3-5 days before I receive them via mail, but have a load I would like to transport tomorrow and was wondering how to go about transporting this load properly without the stickers being displayed on my tractor?

 

My truck and my MC #. I have the license along with IFTA license number but I don't have the actual blue decal stickers to display. Can I do a roundtrip and come back and put the stickers on or am I putting myself at risk here?

 

I don't have pre pass but what is the worst that can occur if I go through the weigh station and they notice I don't have the IFTA decal on display but when asked I provide them with printed copy of IFTA license certificate and tell them I am waiting for the decal in the mail. Do they have the ability to give me a fine or violation for not having the sticker on display?

 

Thanks I was planning to do roundtrip down to Arizona and back to IL. I have IFTA I am in their system but I am waiting on the stickers to arrive in my mailbox
