This week, I obtained my DAC report. I discovered that a trucking company I had applied to a few months ago, and was considering working for, put on the report that I didn't complete a pre-employment drug test. However, I never actually worked for this company - I only applied for a job there.

When I spoke to the recruiter, I expressed my interest in the job and they sent me an address to get a drug test. But at the last minute, I changed my mind and decided not to go through with the drug test or take the job. This was because something the recruiter said on the phone seemed suspicious to me. Now months later, I pulled my DAC report because I am still considering changing jobs, and that's when I saw that the trucking company had put the incomplete pre-employment drug test on my DAC report.

I didn't complete the drug test because I decided not to take the job and didn't want to waste my time on a test for a job I didn't want.

I'm worried about how this will affect me and what I can do about it?

-> -> -> -> "Moneyhungrytrucker, post: 12339409, member: 196915"]So I pulled a copy of my DAC report this week and found out that a trucking company I had appied to months ago and was considering maybe working for put on my DAC report that I didnt complete a pre employment drug test.

I never worked for this company ever, all I did was apply for the job .... I talked to the recruiter I told them I wanted the job they sent me an address to get a drug test, but I changed my mind at the last minute and decided I didnt want the job I would just stay at the trucking job I already have.... now fast forward months later I am still thinking of switching jobs and pulled a copy of my DAC report.

I didnt complete the drug test because I decided I didnt want the job anymore and didnt want to waste my time doing the drug test for a job I wasnt going to take.

    How will this affect me? What can I do?<- <- <- <-
NO COMPANY HAS ANY "AUTHORITY" TO CLAIM ANYTHING WHEN PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEES ARE NOT EMPLOYEES!! THEY FAIL TO UNDERSTAND PRE-EMPLOYMENT!!

CHALLENGE IT THROUGH THE HIRERIGHT SYSTEM

Check out your clearinghouse report, that's the one that matters.
When did you decide to not do the drug test? Did you go and sign in and then walk out, or did you never go?

In that case verify with the clearinghouse. Once you see no issues use that to challenge the dac report to get the false information removed.

Over the last several years this is becoming more of a problem. Before the clearinghouse, a pre-employment was just that. Here is the issue. It stinks and I hate it, but some carriers treat pre-employment hard. They will generate a chain of custody form on you and if you don't show up that form gets sent up to the MRO as a refusal to test. To date, I have not seen a carrier lose this battle. As I said, it sucks. The only way to prevent this is go on ahead and take the test. Then you can go on about your life and the carrier can't do this. I was speaking to a friend of mine that is still driving and his son got caught up in this about 3 months ago. This is why I want to scream with a bullhorn. DO NOT enter a carrier's property OR give them your vital information until you are ready. I'm sorry, I hate this happened to you. I'm just hoping it is not in the clearinghouse. If it is, you are going to have to hire a SAP!

He really doesn't even have to do that. Once the carrier complies with part 391 it should become moot!
