Fan clutch is slipping. 200* at idle and it's a pain to pull hills.

How do I lock in the fan hub? Some of the older IH dump trucks that I worked on could be locked in by screwing in a bolt making it one assembly that runs the fan all the time.

Can the same be done with the ISX?

Either use the fan switch (override) on dash or unplug the fan clutch you might get a fault that way

I don't have a fan switch. If I did, I don't see how it's going to stop the clutch from slipping.

Alot of the horton fan hubs have a place where you can put 2 bolts in to lock it on. I beleive they are 5/16 coarse thread. They should be grade 8, and make sure they are pretty tight or you'll just break them off. If your's has the spot for the bolts, you'll see 2 holes on the front of the hub, then spin the fan till it lines up with the threaded holes behind the clutch.

You should be able to see the threaded portion on the backside of the clutch if it can be locked in.

I see the holes on the backside, but there's nothing on the front of the clamshell.
