I get loads from Mercer and Landstar but I see loads running down the road all the time and I dont get them often. Anyone have a good number they would share with me? Broker or A number of a mil office I could get hooked up with? I hate to see my big trailer just sitting. If someone would PM me I sure would be thankful.

the XL is a 29 foot well two axle. loadking is 24 well three axle, rodgers is 24? three with single sting (4) four landolls with two axles, two petes with tags. one heavy and one super heavy 20k steer with 315s on it florida blankets 160,000/147,000. I do put other stuff on them. Just not like i did at one time. Construction in fl is done. The trucks are so heavy I cant use them with a flat or step. The only step I have is the landolls, they suck OTR. too heavy. little tires blow.... landolls are for the city only. I have a hard time getting anything worth moving and they all sit more then they move. We have light flats with light trucks that load 54,000 everyday. We have the cranes and the wreckers but thats not what I need work for. They are doing ok. Its the heavy stuff that needs help. Military loads this size pay good to me. I just wish I had some brokers I could trust and had the sort loads I can pull with this stuff.

if the military loads pay good to you now on the rgn, other loads will be better. military is a shell of its former self since menlo stuck their nose in it.

Well im in a spot of the country that isnt doing well. lowboy stuff is hard to come by. i will take what i can get. if its not escort size im looking for 3 bucks a (every) mile if its over 100,000k gross i look for 4 bucks and up from that. all this stuff is old and i dont have super overhead/payments. The thing about the mil work is we have 30,000 pieces coming out of here. That would make a nice living for a couple of drivers for the next few months.

If ya'll ever come down this way pm me i can give you my number. i can tow your truck if it ever goes down for 2.50 a mile.

old salt I am with mercer and I avoid all the military frieght. I believe mercer is straight up and honest.Of course i am leased to them and have never brokered from them, but It is my belief that if 200 guys will haul for a dollar it would be very hard for another guy to go in and get 3 dollars to do the same thing It appears like our costs are going up and frieght rates are going down. How many years ago did the military start shipping thru brokers?

Menlo logistics which is part of Con Way is the big military logistics provider now a days. Mercer landstar Anderson and most of the others go thru menlo (as in Menlo Park California is that not the home base for the old CF which is now Non Union Conway) Does any of this ring a bell?
