I have the Plantronics Legend that uses the magnetic cord. I can charge mine when going down the road. I leave the cord plugged in to the usb outlet in the lighter socket, so all I have to do is put the headset close to the cord and the magnet hooks it up. I have a cubby hole close to the outlet that I can set the headset in while it is charging. The cord is about 7 or 8 inches long.

I don't have any problems hearing people with the Legend. They don't hear the truck noises either. If it is real windy outside, they can hear the wind noise.

I had the Plantronics Legend for a long time. I liked it fine, but the battery life was really short. I was constantly charging it and I don't even talk much while driving.

When it finally broke I bought the Blueparrot B350-xt that I use now. I like it much better. I find the sound quality better and it feels more comfortable as well. I couldn't stand having the Legend in my ear unless I was actively using it. Battery life is better too. I can't remember the last time I charged it, but like I said I don't talk on it much so ymmv. If you look around, you can find one with a pretty big rebate too. I think Love's has a deal like that going right now.

I am sorry. I was being nice. The reason I asked if you cant charge it is that mine came with a cigarette lighter plug. I had no usb ports in my truck. I assumed all blue tooths had the cigarette lighter plugs.

I am truly sorry if you got your feelings hurt. It was not my intent.

Do not use it till you charge it completely. Not being smart but it counts on how much you talk. My 250 usually lasts about 3 days when I talk to my ratchet jawed buddy. call it roughly 10 hours.

My blue parrot 250+ (over the head) is loud enough for wearing ear plugs and hearing all audio clearly. Without the ear plugs it would probably be loud enough or too loud so you don't have to use max volume.

I think all BP models now have micro-USB recharge ports. My older BP came with a 12v power cord and 12v power cord. I love my BP.
