If you coming from Albany going West or Erie going East, just run 86 to 88... little bit longer but no toll money.

 

$78 for 5 axles with ezpass or $82 cash stateline to Albany

 

yeah but a pain in the rear and using more fuel, probably not advantage at all, money wise

 

Its around a 30 mile difference between Erie PA and Schenectady NY where 88 brings you back on to 90. I personally would just prefer to stay on 90 myself. In the middle of the night when its quiet you can jump off in Herkimer and run 5 for a bit and save yourself $20.
