As in pop the rivets? Usually drill out the middle of the rivet.

Huck makes some pop type rivets like magna bulb that might work. Just fill in the center hole with filler before you paint. You can use a regular inexpensive riveter.

You need a Huck gun capable of doing Magna Grip fasteners, which is going to be over $1000.00. You can get a refurbished tool for under $800.00, but then you'll have a few hundred in the right nose cone. Or you may be able to get a used one, but you wont find a good one for much cheaper. Your best option if you don't need the Huck for for other jobs is to fit it together using a few 1/4" bolts, then bring it to a body shop or dealer and pay them an hour labor to Huck it together for you.

Any blind style rivets with a hole in them wont work well. The Hucks on the grill sides don't get painted, so you can't fill the holes.

    Semi Crazy Thanks this.

I've only used Huck brand Huck guns. We use a Huck 2025 for hoods & fenders. With the nose cone for the magna grips, it was around $1600.00 5-6 years ago.
