    hi, well this morning i was going to replace front wheel hub caps but couple of bolts broke ;( . I drove some and there is no oil leak out of it for now. How screwed am I? Is it possible just to replace the part that hub cap attaches to? How much is it? Thx

    Remove the hubcap.
    Apply heat with a torch then allow to cool.
    Spray heavily with rust buster.
    Center punch the broken bolts.
    Drill the bolt out with a left hand drill bit with a reversible drill.
    The bolts will thread out while you are drilling.

    Oh...you are serious aren't you? :biggrin_2552::biggrin_2552::biggrin_2552::biggrin_2552:

    Actually, just drill it out with a drill bit. They all turn right I think. And when drilled, go back in the hole with an easy out which turns left and "VOILA". all done.

    Actually, the results of that method goes like this: Just drill it out and remove with easy out and "VIOLA" broken off hardened easy out in hole in bolt. Now what?

    Yep, by the time you heat that rust and corrosion, give it a good shot of rust buster, then hit the bolt a good one with the center punch, the left handed drill bit backs it right out and the threads are still perfect.

    there is no oil leak cause you had no oil in the hub and had you drove too far you would have lost a wheel. dont do mechanic work stick to driving no offense:biggrin_25510:
