It might limit you from the best of the best, but it is not that big of a deal. Companies (insurance) are really only concerned about accidents and moving violations. You will be fine.
You don't have a CSA score, you have a weighted PSP score. -
How do I find out what that is ?
-
Brakes are 4 points per violation. You have to multiple that by three for the first year. You have 12 points. Most companies do not say anything till you get to 80. Why? Because warning tickets carry csa points and inspectors love to give warning tickets. It implies they are doing their job and you cannot fight a warning ticket.
Google your psp report and pay I think $12 to get.
I wouldn't even think twice about one ticket.Ryan423 Thanks this. -
Good Companies and Insurance companies KNOW a driver can't make certain everything an inspector will find Is in their control.

What type of truck do you drive? One brake out of adjustment on a 5 axle truck should not be oos. More than one, yes.

I thought it was 2 inches. I don't know how you would figure in 20%.
It's the drivers reponsibility to make sure brakes are adjusted. I don't know how any of you can fathom driving down the road with out of adjusted brakes. I personally like adjusted and fully functional brakes. But i guess that's just me.
It's not hard to see brakes out of adjustment. Use your eyes and look for gaps between brake and drum. If the adjuster isn't working. You start creating space between shoe and drum. The bigger the space. The longer the stroke. A properly functioning adjuster won't have any gaps. Therefore, short strokes.
