I want to unhook the airline going to the seat so I can hook up an air chuck. Looks like maybe the current line is crimped? Do I just cut close to the current coupler?2010 freight liner cascadia.

Why would you have to cut anything? Just unscrew the fitting, either from the floor or the seat, then connect whatever you want to.

There may be a plastic ring instead of a brass fitting. If you have the plastic ring drain your air tanks, push in on the ring while pulling out on the air supply line. Should come right out. If you are going to add the air chuck, more than likely you will need to add a T somewhere, which means changing your seat air supply line.

You can buy the glad hand and connect to another air line. Then just disconnect the trailer, connect your airline via the glad hand and then connect your air chuck to the air line.

oops, misread post. A T-connector can be bought to connect to the seat Air Line.

It came with a T already. Here is the picture of the connector I have. It's a little dark.

That is a quick connector, do as said above, drain all the air out of your tanks, then exhaust the air out of your seat. This takes the pressure off the line and then you can push in on the little collar as you pull the air line out and it will come right apart.

I'm curious why you wouldn't get an air hose with the air chuck on one end and the gladhand on the other. Why risk creating another air leak?

Omg,I've had the worst luck with these darn things, I use mine everyday at the end of my shift to keep my dash and floors free of dust. And I kept popping an air leak! Driving down the hwy and the loudest air noise you ever heard! Lmao so I had hold the line and try to get over before I lost all my air.UGH! But is was a lot easier than when my fire extinguisher got caught in my seat belt and went off and I was covered in white powder though!!!! :biggrin_25521: Bahahaha

What do you want an air "chuck" in the seat air line for?

For a nozzle to blow the cab clean? Some people like that. I have one in the truck I was assigned. Never used it more than once. All it does is spray the dirt around.

Get a 12v vacuum cleaner for $20-35 with your fuel points at a truck stop.
