I am on a super tight budget and was wondering how I could go about tuning my antenna without purchasing an SWR meter. Any help is really appreciated!

You can't.
How much is an swr meter?
You can find them cheap. Like $5Blaskowitz and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
Go to a CB shop and pay $10 - $15 to have them set it.

I'd invest in a cheap SWR meter following the old concept which goes something like "Give a man a fishing pole and he'll eat forever; give him a fish and he'll get a meal."

Buy a 102" whip...No tuning required...

I bought one real cheap from a lot lizard in SC. A customer of hers realized he left his wallet at home and traded her the meter for her favors. Of course she didn't have a radio of her own, so she sold it (the meter, that is) to me for a few bucks. You just never know what kind of opportunities might present themselves to you at a truck stop! -
Blaskowitz Thanks this.

I wonder? Did she really get the meter in a barter deal, OR, did she simply palm the (p) meter.
