there is a panel under the carpet that you remove and then there are 4 bolts that hold the shift tower to the top of the trany it is easy as pie
Powell-Peralta Thanks this. -
yeah, 10-15 min. deal. in additional, sometimes it is difficult to separate range lever air lines, and we use to cut them and we use small fittings to connect them back. I use to mark ait lines first

I would recommend making sure the trans. shift lever is in neutral before you remove the 4 mounting bolts. I have better luck re-installing the lever when I do this.
And yes, the "spaghetti" air lines can be a bugger. If your careful you can use a pair of pliers to gradually work the ferrules loose from the fittings so you can re-use them. Definately label the lines.
Hope this helps, and good luck! -
I use to shift in N before I remove. and that's all

loosing the nuts on the air lines so they are on by 2 or 3 threads and gently tap the nut with a hammer while pulling on the line. the air line should pop out. then finish removing nuts.

may be it is Russian road salt issue, but these nuts are usually corroded. Anyway, it is not a problem to separate air lines
