How to register cb handle as a non trucker

    Howdy there. Just gettin into cb radios. My dad retired is 007 and my mother retired was 007 1/2. my husband also retired now is dustballskull. Trying to register a handle for myself so that i can talk to all of them on my mobile cb. Also tryin to get ahold of some ole trucker friends flamethrower and circus and wantin to put out a memorial call for an ole trucker friend who died in '15- skidmark.

    No such place...The whole purpose of having a handle in the first place, was so people wouldn't know who you really are! (mainly the FCC) In the beginning you had to have a license to talk on the CB...You would come on the air and give out your call sign (license number) everytime you turned on the radio...People (mostly truckers at that time) didn't want to pay for a license, or do the call sign bit, so to keep their identity a secret they started using "handles"...So if there was such a thing as a "registry" why have a handle in the first place?

    Call yourself whatever you want. If you call yourself Kermit the frog, and then someone else calls themself that, there is no cb police that is gonna make change the name
