Your statement does not compute, literally null.

I have no answer for you.

I can tell you my security methods... even show you where the valves are. The likelyhood of you putting them all in the right position so the truck will roll is probably near zero.

    Not all.

Ultimately Mr Samuel Colt might have to equalize the situation should it go that far. I must be my own security for those I love and care for and strangers who cannot protect themselves in certain situations.

Ive been out of the industry long enough that I don't mind sharing the more obvious methods. I keep certain bag of tricks hidden. Once in a while another poster will describe something in that bag and I enjoy talking about it. Cat would be out of bag...

I don’t know man, with the rates these days and the people who purchased new rigs last year some are even encouraging the theft of their vehicles just to get rid of the payments.

But In reality even keyless cars can be stolen within seconds

Not much you can do. Thieves are always a few steps ahead. The reason for that is it takes years to design a anti theft system, by the time it’s out thieves already have a work around. Anyone remember the “the club” for your steering wheel? Well thieves just decided to take the wheel off and replace it with their own. Problem solved.

About stolen truck, drive old school Mack without steering power wheel , thief will get tired even to make it across gas station.

A suicide mack to be exact. Cabover no sleeper, all on the steer with a beating applied from the back body of the cab and glass.

Or my favorite, a COE White Commander. Suspension removed and transmission oil replaced with a form of graphite.

Or a GMC astro with nothing inside working. A sloppy 5 foot pole for shifting. Make him fall into the passenger side every time. And the best would be that turbo. if it makes a ice pick into your head at high rpms so much the better.

    Or... drumroll....

A Auto car. Bearings not greased since the great war. And no knob on the shifter. And everything missing half the bolts and screws so whatever you tried to do you cut yourself. He will have to put both feet on the fuel pedal and press against floor all strength for 5 minutes to rev engine.

Also discover that he has to continue half standing in that position to keep speed on the freeway.

When I worked for NationWide Auto Recovery, I would just cut the wheel and throw the club into the back seat, Never took the time to remove the wheel, by the time you can get the wheel off I'd be a mile away. Average repo took less than a minute, maybe 2. Even faster with a tow truck.

Oh I know, tow truck bandits where under a minute. I heard stories of guys taking cars in 20 seconds or less with a tow truck. It’s basically scoop it and chain it down the road.

A switch to the ecm is the best method.

Battery switches are pretty easily found & figured out. Big wires make them hard to hide.

Common sense & being proactive are the number one things to prevent it.

@TruckRunner that gun does nothing if your away from the truck. And depending where you are, it’s only gonna land you in jail. Nice thought, but this is a truck not your house.

Edit: just thinking about the post saying a manual tranny is this generations memtal blockade. If you have a 10spd, get a 13/18spd shift knob and make the splitter your ecm switch. 13 spd is best, must be on the high side in od to start. Lol. That would F up most experienced drivers.

There was a local guy who had his gladhands and colors reversed on all his trailers. May not stop a thief, but it would sure slow him down.

A hidden disconnect is great for truck protection.
