Manual transmission. When you are rolling to a stop, truck in gear, if you have the clutch all the way in while still moving (and in gear), does this wear out the clutch brake?
How to not damage the clutch brake

You should never have the pedal fully depressed while still moving. Only stopped.
Yes it can and will damage the clutch brake. If you have an air or hydraulic assisted clutch linkage this is even more likely. Harder to do with manual linkage but still possible.kylefitzy, tscottme, Labrador and 1 other person Thank this. -

The only time you should use the clutch brake is going from sitting in neutral, clutch pedal out, to putting the transmission into gear. The clutch brake is used to stop the clutch disc and transmission input shaft from spinning, so you can select a gear.
When sitting at stoplights, in a line, traffic, etc, always put the transmission in neutral and let out the clutch, to save wear on the throwout bearing.
Be nice to your clutch and transmission components. -
it's is literally a brake. much like any other brake. it has friction material that wears with use.
