    I wanted to get my hazmat endorsement done but never got a chance ...maybe one day .. just renewed my twic online ...I am also reading about tsa clearing at the airport - never knew about this benefit

    I called the Nebraska DMV today and actually got ahold of a live person to ask what order I have to do this in. He said that I need a Nebraska CDL before I can do any of the other steps as transferring applications from an out of state license is apparently a nightmare and would take forever. I have my fingerprinting appointment set for the day after I'm supposed to get my Nebraska license, and apparently as long as I register on the TSA website for the enrollment with my NE ID # I can show up for fingerprinting as soon as the day after.

    As for the ELDT course, that to my knowledge only needs to be completed prior to taking the written test; it doesn't have to be done prior to the background check.

    May i ask , does one need a twic if you have or have had a passport ? Im asking if theyre redundant or if one serves a diff purpose than the other , thx .

    Twic has nothing to do with crossing the International border. A passport is good there. You need a TWIC to get into most ports and many chemical plants and refineries.

    Ok , i was thinking flashing a passport would do same , in that it was a federal background checked id . Thx .
