They say my tractor GVWR should be on the inside of my drivers door on a plate, but what do we do when the plate has been removed, I am thinking my GVWR should be the total allowable weights for each axle added up, and that should be my GVWR. Am I correct to think this would be the GVWR? is for my PUC documents, I don't want to tell you what the old PUC document said before I bought it, but I have been using the numbers and been getting away with it, but now I want to make sure all documents are correct and in order. If anyone can help me calculate or guide me to a method to get a correct GVWR, I would appreciate it.
how to find the GVWR?

The dealer can get you a replacement sticker, they just need the VIN. You'll want it on there if you hit an inspection

No, you can't add gross axle weight ratings to get your gvwr. The sum of the gawr's might be higher.

Best to just do as the poster that suggested getting a replacement decal from a dealership. Poster is correct in that you really need one and you're talking about $5 and 5 minutes to get. Maybe 10 and 10. Still. Just put a new decal on and go by that. CYA.gpsman Thanks this. -
GVWR is set by manufacturer and should be on a plate affixed to your door. If it isn't, then you need to contact your dealer and get one.

It is not noted on the reg.
